■Arc light source Optical ModuleX Product overview

The high-performance arc lamp light source (manufactured by WACOM) is a white lamp light source that is ideal for multipurpose physical and chemical experiments such as photochemical reaction experiments, spectrometer slit injection, catalyst experiments, Schlieren optical system construction, and solar cell solar simulators. There are three types of lamps to choose from: xenon/ultra-high-pressure UV lamps (high-pressure mercury lamps), and DeepUV lamps (mercury-xenon lamps), allowing you to choose the lamp that best suits your experimental purpose.

■Lamp types, features, etc.

・Xenon lamp (A high-intensity point light source filled with xenon gas. It has a continuous spectrum similar to daylight from the visible to infrared range, and has excellent color rendering.) ・Ultra-high-pressure UV lamp (high-pressure mercury lamp) (Among ultraviolet wavelengths, three rays (436nm, 405nm, 365nm) can be used effectively. ・Deep UV lamp (mercury xenon lamp) A lamp based on a xenon lamp filled with metal vapor such as mercury. It is characterized by radiation in the far ultraviolet region around 230 to 320 nm. The lamp housing can also be selected from a rear-view mirror house that enables highly accurate quasi-parallel irradiation despite being a standard specification, and an elliptical mirror house that is suitable for high-power light irradiation and acceleration tests. (You can also choose from high-intensity lenses, high-uniform lenses, and high-parallel lenses). Various light irradiation methods are possible, including horizontal quasi-parallel light irradiation through a lens, epi-illumination using a downward irradiation unit, and optical fiber irradiation by connecting a fiber mount. The irradiation wavelength can be adjusted to suit the purpose, such as a total reflection mirror, a UV cold mirror, or a visible light transmission filter. Furthermore, the device has a pre-alignment structure, eliminating the need for troublesome optical axis and focus adjustments when replacing lamps. Lamp replacement is easy, and highly precise parallel light irradiation can be reproduced at any time.
