About This Product

■Laser-excited plasma light source LDLS™ white light source Product overview

Laser-excited plasma light source LDLS white light source (Energetiq, manufactured by A HAMAMATSU Company) is a conventional laser-excited plasma light source that combines features such as high brightness, light wavelength range from ultraviolet DUV to near-infrared NIR, minute point emission, long life, and high stability. It is not an ideal white lamp light source. LDLS is an acronym for Laser-Driven Light Source, and uses a unique lighting method that uses laser light to maintain the arc discharge generated by the discharge electrode. It is small in size (φ0.1mm) and emits light. At the same time, it has an extremely wide emission wavelength range from ultraviolet to near-infrared rays, and in the DUV region in particular, it can provide much stronger light intensity than deuterium lamps and an emission spectrum without emission lines. Additionally, there is no electrode wear and a significantly longer lamp life compared to conventional lamps. It is an ideal light source with almost no fluctuation in the light emitting point seen in general discharge lamps, and excellent stability in light emission intensity.

■Owned patents that support high technology

The laser excitation technology that is the basic principle of this product is a patented technology owned by ENERGETIQ. The related patent numbers are as follows. (US 7435982, 7786455, 8525138, 8969841, 9048000, 9185786; Japan 5410958, 5628253; Korea 10-1507617; UK GB2450045.)

■Unique lighting method (laser-excited plasma light source)

This is a unique lighting method that focuses laser light on the discharge generated between the discharge electrodes in the lamp bulb filled with xenon, directly heating and maintaining the plasma.

■High brightness point emission (light emission point size φ0.1mm~)

The light emitting point is small, and it is possible to irradiate a minute spot with high brightness and high efficiency (high efficiency injection into a spectrometer or single mode fiber)

■Wide wavelength range from ultraviolet (DUV) to near infrared (NIR)

It has a wide wavelength range from 170nm to 2,100nm, and has an emission spectrum with high light intensity and no emission lines, especially in the ultraviolet (DUV) region.
