As the hollow rotor rotates, the ball screw nut rotates, and by providing a rotation stopper* at the tip of the ball screw, the ball screw shaft moves linearly. There are two types of ball screws: precision ball screws for minute feed and high-precision positioning, and rolled ball screws that are reliable for general positioning. The ball screw shaft is housed inside the hollow rotor, ensuring maximum stroke with a short overall length. Additionally, a large-diameter bearing is placed around the outer periphery of the ball screw nut to directly receive the large axial loads that occur during linear motion. ■DRLII series uses a stepping motor. Since it is a stepping motor, the positioning accuracy of 1 step feed is high and it can move forward and backward accurately. Additionally, since there is no phenomenon called hunting, where the axis moves minutely when stopped, the stopped position can be maintained reliably.
