About This Product
With a number of unique features, the OmniTek U-VIsc is an ideal instrument for a wide range of applications from quality control to research and development to used oil analysis.
In addition to being fully compliant with ASTM D445/446, it covers a 100 times wider viscosity range (1 to 100 cSt) using specially designed measuring tubes. The measuring tube is based on the well-known and proven Ubbelohde design, but requires only a sample volume of 8-12 ml and 10-15 ml of washing solvent.
This instrument is compatible with cleaning with one or two solvents and measures the kinematic viscosity of lubricants from 0.5 to 5,000 cSt. Although it has a compact design that can be used on a small tabletop space, it has two independent thermostatic chambers, and two measurement tubes for wide measurement range can be attached to each.
Advanced temperature control features allow measurements to be made to meet the requirements of D445. 32-position sampling tray per thermostat (16 samples per tube) for completely unattended operation. It's possible.
Depending on sample viscosity, the instrument can process up to 40 samples per hour, meeting the demands of laboratories that need to process a large number of samples, for example up to several hundred each day. A PC is required to operate U-VIsc. However, control is also possible from an advanced color touchscreen interface.
The instrument comes standard with an advanced PC application that enables data acquisition, storage, calculations and reporting (supports simultaneous data collection from up to four instruments). If the temperature chamber is operated at 40℃ and 100℃, the viscosity index can be automatically calculated based on the results from both temperature chambers.
