■FeaturesThe Assmann ventilation psychrometer is highly reliable as a standard for measuring relative humidity due to its good reproducibility. It is widely used as a basic measuring instrument for humidity measurement because it is easy to carry and install, does not require difficult maintenance, and can provide stable and accurate measurements over a long period of time.

From an environmentally friendly perspective, this product uses an alcohol thermometer instead of the traditional mercury thermometer.

■Mercury-freeIn recent years, in line with the Minamata Convention on Mercury, various industries have been transitioning to mercury-free products. This product uses an alcohol thermometer instead of the conventional mercury thermometer, achieving the same functionality as a mercury thermometer.

■Principles and types of wet and dry bulb hygrometersA wet/psychrometric bulb hygrometer consists of two thermometers of the same type, type, and body placed side by side, and one of the thermometers wrapped in gauze moistened with water. This moistened thermometer is called the wet bulb, and the other thermometer is called the dry bulb. The temperature of a wet bulb decreases due to the heat of vaporization caused by the evaporation of water. The principle of a psychrometric hygrometer is to use this to derive relative humidity using a formula from dry bulb temperature and wet bulb temperature.

There are two types of psychrometric hygrometers: ``ventilated psychrometric hygrometers'' and ``simple psychrometric hygrometers,'' but when we say ``wet/psychrometric hygrometers,'' we usually refer to ``ventilated psychrometric hygrometers.''

The important thing about ventilated wet/dry bulb hygrometers is that the temperature-sensing part of the wet bulb needs adequate ventilation in order to make accurate measurements. This product is AC/DC powered, and uses two AA batteries to run the fan for 20 hours continuously, allowing for accurate ventilation at a wind speed of 3m/s or more.
