About This Product

Assmann type ventilation psychrometer aiming at stable humidity measurement. The thermometer is -30 to 50℃.

■FeaturesThe Assmann ventilation psychrometer is highly reliable as a relative humidity standard due to its good reproducibility, but the SK-RHG/SK- has been improved to further improve operability and accuracy. This is RHG-S. A special wet bulb cloth is used for the wet bulb part, which is easier to replace than gauze, and a water bottle is included as standard in the main unit, making it unnecessary to replenish water for long periods of time.

In addition, the SK-RHG series is powered by AC or DC power, and can run the fan continuously for 20 hours on two AA batteries, allowing for accurate ventilation at a wind speed of 3 m/s or more. In particular, the SK-RHG-S certified by the Meteorological Service Support Center has been designed with a chrome-plated finish below the body to reduce the effects of radiant heat, aiming for even higher accuracy. ■Principles and types of wet and dry bulb hygrometersA psychrometric/wet-bulb hygrometer consists of two thermometers of the same type, type, and body placed side by side, and the temperature-sensing part of one of them is wrapped in gauze dampened with water. The moistened thermometer is called the wet bulb, and the other thermometer is called the dry bulb. The temperature of a wet bulb decreases due to the heat of vaporization caused by the evaporation of water. The principle of a wet-bulb hygrometer is to use this to read relative humidity using a formula from dry-bulb temperature and wet-bulb temperature.

Usually, when we refer to a ``wet and dry bulb hygrometer,'' we are referring to a ``wet and dry bulb hygrometer with ventilation.'' Ventilated wet/dry bulb hygrometers can be roughly divided into three types depending on the type of thermometer used: ``mercury thermometer type'', ``resistance thermometer type'', and ``temperature difference type''. The important point with either type is that the wet bulb requires adequate ventilation in order to perform accurate humidity measurements. Although there are slight differences depending on the structure of each thermometer, the minimum required wind speed is set.

This literally uses a glass thermometer filled with mercury as a thermometer, and uses a ventilation device to provide a constant flow of air to the temperature-sensing area.
