■CAM-TOOL

CAM-TOOL is a CAD/CAM integrated hybrid CAM system that has a surface modeling function and performs everything from importing CAD data to outputting NC data. Equipped with a high-performance modeler (curved surface processing, shape evaluation, and editing functions) that directly converts model data such as IGES and STEP, performs shape processing, and supports CAM modeling work. You can create toolpaths for drilling, 2 and a half axes (2.5-dimensional contour machining), 3-axis (3-dimensional machining along surfaces, etc.), and even 5-axis machining. The 3DCAM engine uses hybrid CAM (polygon calculation, surface calculation) to achieve high speed, high precision, and highly efficient machining.

■High precision surface CAM engine

Polygon calculation, which is commonly used in CAM, creates a tool path by converting three shapes modeled on CAD into polygon shapes (polygon approximation), so there is an error (according to the specified accuracy) with the CAD data. occurs, which reduces the repeatability accuracy when calculating the tool path. CAM-TOOL surface calculation creates a tool path using a unique algorithm calculation that brings the tool into contact with the curved surface shape, suppressing the drop in coordinate reproduction accuracy when calculating the tool path.

■Touring database

Accurate tool and holder shape definitions are required to calculate the machining area by recognizing the stock shape. Registration can be easily done by downloading catalog data from the web, and it is also possible to import shapes of tools and holders. The shank shape of the tool can be defined as a multi-stage taper or R shape, and the holder can be defined as a multi-stage holder, allowing for more accurate interference checking.
