About This Product

■Summary

- Using PlantPen it is possible to measure the relative chlorophyll content of leaves. ・Measurement is performed using the reflectance of leaves. ・PlantPen has PRI (Photochemical Reflectance Index) version and NDVI (Normalized Vegetation Index) version.

■Features

-PlantPen (PRI 210) measures the Photochemical Reflectance Index (PRI) by comparing leaf reflectance at 531 nm and 570 nm. - PRI is used for vegetation yield and stress studies. -PlantPen (NDVI 310) measures the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), an important indicator of chlorophyll content in plants. -Chlorophyll, a pigment in plant leaves, strongly absorbs visible light (0.4-0.7 µm) used for photosynthesis. -On the other hand, the cellular structure of leaves strongly reflects near-infrared rays (0.7-1.1 µm). -The difference in plant reflectance at visible and near-infrared wavelengths is used to calculate the NDVI index. ・Sturdy and compact housing -Easy to use design with only two buttons ・Data processing is easy with the included software ・Both USB and Bluetooth can be used for data transfer ・Charging the built-in lithium-ion battery via the PC port
