About This Product

■Summary

The OXYV1 Oxyview control unit is very useful for teaching photosynthesis and cellular respiration. The Oxyview control unit is fully compatible with a variety of oxygen electrode chambers manufactured by Hansatech Instruments, so it can be used in both liquid and gas phases. Oxyview is configured and controlled via a control panel with four touch-sensitive buttons. Configuration is easy by following each step according to the display guidelines on the menu screen. These setup steps include setting stirrer speed (for liquid phase measurements) and backoff and gain settings. Once configured, the Oxyview control unit will start reading the oxygen content of the sample. The Oxyview control unit has an integrated magnetic stirrer for liquid phase applications, allowing the overall footprint of the Oxyview1 system to be minimized (90 x 135mm). Useful when multiple setups are required to run a program with limited space. The Oxyview control unit is powered by a 12VDC wall cube connected directly to the back of the unit. There is also a 0-5V analog output on the back that allows measurements from the control unit to be logged to an external recording device such as a chart recorder or data logger that accepts a 0-5V analog input.
