Overview

■Lens performance is sensitive to temperature changes

When camera systems are exposed to varying temperatures, image performance can be significantly degraded if the design is not properly insulated. The need for cameras that can handle temperature changes is especially important for automotive lens manufacturers and integrators, where stringent performance and insulation requirements are required to meet safety standards for camera image quality. As these cameras become more popular, there is an increasing demand for lens testing over a wide temperature range. Over the years, Optikos has refined the technology we use to make these measurements as we continue to expand the menu of measurement services offered by Optikos IQ Lab™. We are now pleased to offer the TM-1000 thermal module line for lens measurements as an accessory to our flagship OpTest® and LensCheck™ lens MTF measuring instruments.

■Optikos thermal module can measure various temperatures, lens shapes and sizes

Optikos' thermal module temperature chamber is used in place of a regular lens mount on an Optest bench equipped with a visible image analyzer or on the rotating platform of the LensCheck system. The TM-1000 series was developed based on Optikos' well-established product line and is capable of temperature measurement of a wide range of image quality indicators for lenses used in the visible light range. The thermal module currently consists of four models: TM-1010, TM-1050, TM-1065 for use with LensCheck, and TM-1150 with 150 mm internal diameter temperature chamber for measuring large lens assemblies on the OpTest bench. Masu. All four models can be integrated into LensCheck or OpTest systems or added to existing systems.
