About This Product

This is a passive shut-off valve that was developed through repeated improvements to shut off the propagation of deflagration in ducts. During an explosion, the wind velocity of the explosion causes the float valve, latched in the open position, to move axially and lock in the closed position, blocking propagation. As a passive shutoff valve, it has pressure-resistant strength. The float valve is latched open and closed, which fundamentally improves the turbulence, pressure loss, and malfunction caused by the floating float valve that existed in the past. The pressure loss and turbulence of the powder flow passing through the float valve during operation are minimal and do not affect operation.

■Operating principle

We have minimized the turbulence and pressure loss caused by the float valve for operational air blowing. Our unique patented ball spring system latches the float valve in a central position, ensuring no movement except in the event of an explosion. The system guarantees reliable operation even at high flow velocities, whether installed in front or behind the elbow. When an explosion occurs, the dynamic energy of the pressure waves emitted from the flame front unlatches the float valve, moving it to the closed position and locking it. The float valve is pushed axially and the flame propagation is blocked. When it detects that the float valve is in the "closed" position, it transmits an electrical signal.

■Main features

■Technical data for project design

・Housing material: Painted steel, stainless steel, DN100 and DN150 and other aluminum ・Valve is pre-fabricated for signal transmitter M12x1 assembly to signal "closed" position ・Can be supplied as a DIN or ANSI compliant flange attachment type ・Maximum flow rate can be freely set depending on the process and protection concept ・The mounting position (horizontal/vertical) can be set arbitrarily according to the above conditions, and the mounting position can also be changed on site.
