About This Product

■Low vibration and high rigidity mechanical design

The FP-21T Precision is a low-vibration processing machine suitable for micromachining, featuring a low center of gravity, high rigidity design, and a spindle motor with small center runout.

■Possible to mill lines and spaces of 50 µm

We have devised control of the Z-axis for machining with fine tools (stepping machining). This is the first tabletop substrate processing machine to achieve a 50 µm line and space. Compared to laser processing machines, it has significantly better cost performance.

■Customer testimonials

There is also a way to process 50 µm lines and spaces with a laser cutting machine, but cutting with a laser cutting machine has the following problems. It causes a lot of damage to the equipment (the processed parts melt due to the heat), the copper you want to remove scatters (there is a possibility of short circuiting), and it is expensive. For the above reasons, we do not process substrates using lasers.

■Non-contact processing head

Since the air jet presses down on the board, no marks will be left on the board surface. Suitable for thin substrates and soft substrates such as Teflon.

■Contact processing and non-contact processing

Generally, when processing fine patterns, an incremental processing method is used in which the board is held down and the tool is accurately projected from the point at which it is held down. There are two methods for holding the board: contact method and non-contact method.

■Contact method

With this method, traces of the pivot contact will be left on the copper foil surface. (It will not cause any damage.)

■Non-contact method

Air is ejected to press the board without directly pressing it, so no marks are left. Suitable for thin and soft substrates. However, an air source (air compressor) is required.

■Achieving even more precise processing with options

Porous ceramic vacuum table can process substrates smaller than 200 µm.

■Vacuum table

In response to the recently increasing demand for processing thin substrates of 200 microns or less, we have developed a vacuum table that uses porous ceramic and has a flatness accuracy of 10 microns. As an option, the processing table of the FP-21T Precision can be changed to a vacuum table with high precision flatness.

■Camera monitor system

The board surface is enlarged 30x/60x and displayed on the monitor, allowing easy and accurate positioning while viewing the camera image.
