About This Product

The LAN control power supply (abbreviation: LAN power supply) is an LED power supply that complies with the Ethernet standard. Insert a LAN cable into the LED power supply, connect it to the LAN, and control the dimming of the LED power supply from a computer on the same LAN. A LAN power supply has the same position as a server or PC, and is one of the network devices in a LAN. By connecting to a LAN with a LAN cable and setting the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway that match the LAN environment, you will be able to access it from network devices such as PCs on that LAN.

■Removal of security restrictions for using LAN controlled power supply

UDP communication protocol broadcast is used to detect LAN power. Additionally, the TCP communication protocol is used to control the LAN power from the computer. Security products such as antivirus software may disable UDP and TCP communications on your network. In that case, you need to remove that security restriction. In other words, the UDP protocol and LAN power supply port number used in this product, as well as the TCP protocol and user-specified port number, must be enabled. If you are not familiar with security product settings, first disable any security products such as antivirus software and firewalls.

■Initialization of LAN control power supply

After connecting to the LAN with a LAN cable, use the application that comes with this product to initialize the LAN power supply in order to communicate with other network devices in the LAN environment. Set the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway that match your LAN environment.

■LAN control power supply dimming

After the LAN power is initialized, you can dim the LAN power from a computer on the same network segment. There are two methods of dimming. There are two ways to dim the light: one is to use the included application, and the other is to set up a dimming program on the user's side.

■Dimming of LAN control power supply by user-developed program

Users can also create an original program to dim the light according to the "LAN power supply dimming control protocol" below. In that case, please refer to the sample program we have prepared.
