About This Product

■How to use the reflux ratio adjustment timer

Connect the plug coming out of the main unit to the (100V AC power supply) and the (90V DC) output on the back to the FR66-3 opening/closing magnet, but do not connect it to the power supply yet. The left side of the timer is for setting the distillation time, and the right side is for setting the reflux time. The switch has three stages: manual distillation, stop reflux, and automatic, so be sure to set the switch to stop reflux before plugging in the power plug (100V). We will explain how to set the position of the magnet. First, lower the magnet position to the lowest position. Now turn the switch to manual distillation. Even if magnetic force is applied here, the force acts downward, so the valve will not be pulled up, and therefore the valve will not open. Just move the magnet up a little. There is a slit in the vertical direction so that you can see the inside, so when looking at the tip of the valve, the appropriate height is when the tip is 2 to 3 mm above the valve seat. If you raise it too high, it will fall violently and break the glass when the magnetic force breaks. Furthermore, if it is too high, it will damage the top. Also, please be careful not to drop the valve from such a height as it will damage the valve seat. Next, to set the time, as an example, if you set the left dial to 10, the magnet will be energized for 10 seconds. If you set the right dial to 20, the power will not turn on for 20 seconds. If you set both dials like this and set the switch to the automatic position, it will open for 10 seconds (distillation) and close for 20 seconds. In other words, you can do 1:2, 10 seconds vs. 20 seconds, 20 seconds vs. 40 seconds, and many other combinations. By setting the left dial to 5 and the right dial to 55, you can set it to open for only 5 seconds per minute (to allow distillation) and then close it (to allow reflux). (1:11)
