About This Product

It is important to extinguish fires while they are small. By connecting it to a water faucet, ``anyone can use it quickly and easily.'' That is the "Machi-Kado Firefighting Harrier". ■Product history

The predecessor of the "Machi-Kado Fire Harrier" was a fixed-type "Machi-Kado Fire Hydrant" that was commercialized in 2009, and was later developed to be more user-friendly due to citizen requests. It was commercialized in 2012 as an "improved type".

■Function confirmation

In pursuit of the water discharging function, we conducted numerous fire extinguishing experiments at the "Machi-Kado Fire Hydrant." It took one and a half years to develop the advanced nozzle, and the Fire and Disaster Management Agency: Large-scale Fire Research Center A total of 21 experiments were conducted in the fire experiment building over a total of three days. 2010 public evaluation: Acquired performance evaluation (Japan Fire Equipment Safety Center)

■The "Machi-Kado Fire Hydrant" uses the patented special nozzle and strong hose of the above-mentioned "Machi-Kado Fire Hydrant" and its functionality is guaranteed.

■Installation results

To date, more than 1,100 units have been installed as regional disaster prevention equipment mainly in Tokyo. Within Toshima Ward, Suginami Ward, Bunkyo Ward, Taito Ward, Adachi Ward Nearly 500 units have been installed using the ward's budget, and more than 300 units have been installed by voluntary disaster prevention associations and neighborhood associations in Toshima Ward, Shinagawa Ward, and Yokohama City.

■Successful example: within Toshima Ward, Tokyo

1. Arson at a garbage collection site in 2016, and 2. Fire extinguished late at night in a wooden apartment in a densely populated residential area in 2021. This contributed to controlling the spread of the fire. 1. In 2016, the fire was discovered by a police car during a late night patrol, and the fire was extinguished by police officers. 2. During the 2021 fire, nearby residents continued to spray water from the "Machi-Kado Fire Hydrant" installed in the park until the fire brigade arrived, contributing to reducing the spread of the fire. 　　　　　A letter of appreciation was issued to the fire fighters by the fire chief of the Tokyo Fire Department.
