About This Product

Apogee fast response oxygen concentration sensor SE-SO-210 measures oxygen gas concentration. There are multiple methods for measuring oxygen gas concentration, and three methods are widely used for environmental measurements: galvanic cell sensors, polarographic sensors, and optical sensors. Galvanic cells and polarographic sensors are self-powered, generating electrical current through an electrochemical reaction between oxygen and an electrolyte. Apogee's SO-100 and SO-200 series are galvanic cell detection sensors (electrochemical cells) that include an oxygen sensor, a Teflon membrane, a reference temperature sensor (thermistor or thermocouple), a heater (before and after the Teflon membrane), It consists of a display unit. The sensor is designed for continuous gaseous oxygen measurements using room air, soil/porous media, closed chambers, and in-line tubing (flow-through applications); applications of the Apogee oxygen sensor include laboratory oxygen measurements. It is used to monitor oxygen for climate control, to monitor oxygen levels in compost piles and inside mines, to measure oxygen consumption in closed chambers or measurement chambers, and to change oxygen concentrations in soils/porous media. (Apogee oxygen sensor is not for medical use)
