About This Product

The compact optical infrared rain intensity meter SE-PM525 has no mechanical moving parts, so it is a highly reliable device that requires no maintenance even after long periods of use. Unlike conventional tipping rain gauges, this rain gauge measures rainfall intensity and continuously outputs rainfall data from the beginning to the end of the rain as an analog signal. An infrared sensor built into the housing detects each raindrop that passes through the sensing area, and analog 4 to 20 mA is output depending on the amount of rain divided into 4 stages for 1 minute. Rainfall observation is essential for predicting and preventing landslides caused by long and heavy rains. *The main body has a heater to keep it above 0℃ in case of freezing or snow. (Supports network SIM card logger. Real-time data can be obtained.)
