Made of stainless steel (SUS) with a passive film that prevents it from rusting. Stainless steel is said to be rust-resistant, but wouldn't you like to make it more resistant to rust? Our passipate treatment utilizes our experience in various surface treatments to provide a uniform and careful finish.

■SUS passivation treatment [Passipate] overview

In addition to corrosion resistance, stainless steel has excellent properties among metals such as heat resistance, workability, and strength. During the manufacturing process of stainless steel, a strong anti-corrosion film is created on the surface to protect the material from rust. However, depending on the alloy type of stainless steel, the anti-corrosion coating may not achieve the desired performance, or a stronger anti-corrosion coating may be required. Passipate treatment is a chemical method applied to stainless steel when a stronger anti-corrosion coating is required. A very thin oxide film made by combining oxygen and Cr (chromium) on stainless steel from which dirt has been removed is called a "passivation film" and improves corrosion resistance. Although the passive film is extremely thin, measuring only 3 millionths of a millimeter, it is strong and has the ability to automatically regenerate if there is oxygen around it, even if it breaks. Another major feature is that it has an excellent design and is easy to maintain.
