A film with no visible cracks even when heated to 300℃. There are no problems with wear resistance at high temperatures. Are you worried that heating hard alumite reduces its wear resistance, or that cracks can cause impurities to diffuse, leading to damage to precision equipment, etc.? In general hard alumite, cracks occur due to temperature differences due to heating and cooling, and cracks are known to be a contributing factor and affect wear resistance.
Our crackless hard alumite is a hard alumite that generates extremely few cracks even at around 300℃, which is higher than the recrystallization temperature (250℃), and maintains strong wear resistance.
■Overview of crackless hard alumite
During the hard anodizing process, you may hear some small noises in the water washing process. This indicates that cracks have formed in the film. Cracks occur due to differences in the expansion coefficients of the aluminum material and the coating during heating and cooling.
As a countermeasure to prevent cracks, it is possible to reduce the number of cracks as much as possible by heating the aluminum to 250℃, which is the recrystallization temperature of aluminum, but it is difficult to reduce the number of cracks to zero. In addition, the effects of cracks include inclusions from the cracks, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, etc., which tend to decrease slightly, and in severe cases, damage to precision equipment may occur.
Our crackless hard alumite does not crack even when heated to 300℃, which is higher than the recrystallization temperature of aluminum, and has excellent wear resistance. A comparison of wear resistance under heating conditions of 300℃ shows that while general hard alumite reduces wear resistance by about 15 to 20%, crackless hard alumite has a wear resistance of only 5% or less, which is 1/3 to 1 of the JIS standard. /4 or less is shown.
