Even ADC12 material has 1.2 times the wear resistance of JIS standards. Wear-resistant hard alumite that can be used for aluminum die-casting. Hardness and wear resistance are different. I think there are many people who think so. Anodized aluminum is sometimes used together, but just because it's hard doesn't mean it's wear resistant. In particular, for Al-Si-Cu alloys such as aluminum die-cast (ADC10,12) where silicon remains in the film, the Vickers hardness differs depending on the part with a lot of silicon and the part with a little silicon, but the hardness of the film is Does not rely on wear resistance. Our Tough Guard for aluminum die casting is a hard alumite specializing in the wear resistance of aluminum die casting. Toughguard for aluminum die casting exhibits approximately 1.2 times the wear resistance when the wear amount per 1μm of hard material according to the JIS standard is 1.0. Recommended for those who want to improve the wear resistance of conventional products or who are having trouble improving the performance of sliding parts such as pistons and cylinders.

■Abrasion-resistant alumite [Tough Guard] Overview

Originally, we tend to think that wear resistance is something that is required of hard anodized aluminum. However, the actual wear test for alumite requires many test methods, and there are many complex points that are unclear, such as "which material should be used, which method should be used, and how should it be carried out?" Furthermore, the test takes a considerable amount of time. I'll put it away. Generally speaking, hard alumite tends to refer to hardness, but judging from usage examples, it is best to describe it as "wear-resistant alumite" for its intended purpose. Aluminum die-casting material is also frequently used for hard alumite treatment. As for the compositional characteristics of aluminum die casting, there are many alloys that contain a large amount of silicon (Si) in consideration of the fluidity of the metal. However, if alumite is performed as is, silicon will remain in the film, causing differences in surface roughness and hardness. Regarding hardness, when the film thickness and hardness are measured using the JIS standard microscopic section method and the hardness using a Vickers hardness tester, it is observed that the surface is uneven. This indicates that the surface roughness is several times that of a film made of expanded material and subjected to the same treatment. Our Tough Guard for aluminum die casting is a hard alumite treatment specialized for hardness and wear resistance, and has excellent performance with a film thickness of 5 to 40 μm, hardness of 330 to 380 HV, and wear resistance 1.2 times that of the JIS standard.
