About This Product

■Features Developed exclusively for aluminum die-casting materials such as ADC10 and 12. Alumite treatment specialized for high corrosion resistance. Aluminum die-casting materials, especially ADC12, are the most commonly used type of aluminum alloy. However, its corrosion resistance is said to be inferior among all aluminum die-casting materials, and depending on the intended use, it may be necessary to perform anti-rust treatments such as chemical conversion treatment, alumite, or painting. We believe that it is difficult to fully meet the current JIS/H8601 general alumite treatment for such corrosion problems in aluminum die-casting, so we have developed highly corrosion-resistant products such as ADC10 and ADC12, which are specialized for easily corroding aluminum die-casting materials. We have developed anodized aluminum coating AD864 treatment. ■ Highly corrosion resistant alumite [AD864] overview ADC12 material, which is a type of aluminum die-casting material, has good castability, mechanical properties, machinability, and mass production, and is the most commonly used aluminum die-casting material, accounting for over 90% of the production ratio by aluminum die-casting alloy. . However, due to the nature of the alumite film, it contains a large amount of silicon (9.6 to 12.0%) to improve melt flow (fluidity), so eutectic crystals are formed finely in the metal structure during alumite treatment. Since the silicon parts of are not oxidized, a film does not grow, making it difficult to form an aluminum oxide film uniformly on the surface of inclusions. Also, while aluminum die casting is said to be susceptible to corrosion, ADC12 material is said to have particularly poor corrosion resistance as it corrodes due to the large potential difference with aluminum due to the copper content. However, there is an unending need for corrosion resistance when used as an alloy with excellent mechanical properties and a mass production system. We focused on the alumite and corrosion resistance of the ADC12 material, which is often used, and developed AD864, an alumite film that is resistant to corrosion. Our AD864 treatment is a functional alumite developed to overcome the drawbacks of aluminum die-casting materials, so it is an alumite that combines the production of a uniform film with small surface roughness and high corrosion resistance.
