Eliminates the concept of hard alumite for aluminum die casting. A special hard alumite specially designed for aluminum die casting that has hardness and wear resistance comparable to high-strength alloys. Even if you want to achieve the hardness and coating thickness of high-strength alloys in wrought materials through hard alumite treatment of aluminum die-casting, it doesn't always work out the way you want.
In particular, hard alumite treatment of Al-Cu and Al-Si-Cu alloys such as A2017 material and ADC12 material is difficult and many companies will refuse.
Our special hard alumite (AHA treatment) for ADC is a specialized treatment for hard coatings on aluminum die castings. AHA treatment is a film that fully brings out the performance of both hardness and wear resistance, and it has high hardness and wear resistance even in aluminum die casting of Al-Si-Cu alloys such as ADC12 material, which is said to be difficult to achieve both. It has been evaluated.
■Special hard alumite [AHA] overview
Hard alumite treatment for Al-Si-Cu alloys (ADC10,12), which account for around 95% of the market for aluminum die casting, is said to produce a film thickness of around 10μm and a hardness of around 300HV. For this reason, we often receive inquiries about thicker and harder aluminum die-casting materials, and even if we choose an aluminum die-casting material suitable for mass production, we are often forced to give up on it because it cannot be surface-treated.
Our AHA treatment is an alumite specializing in the hardness of aluminum die-casting. The hardness is 330 to 400 HV, and the film thickness is usually about 20 μm, but it is possible to increase it by about 50 μm on average, and we believe that it is equivalent to or better than high-strength alloys made of wrought materials.
