Our hard alumite (HA) for castings and die castings has the highest hardness (350~400HV) among our hard alumite treatments for castings and die castings, and is characterized by high wear resistance. . In addition, since dimensional tolerances of H7 and H7 are possible, masking of flat surfaces, grooves, holes, screws, etc. is also possible.
■Hard alumite [HA] overview
Our hard alumite (HA) for casting and die casting has excellent film stability, hardness, and wear resistance among our die casting treatments, and can be applied to a wide range of film thicknesses from 20 to 80 μm. is.
Casting materials include AC4C, which is γ-silmine (Al-Si-Mg alloy), AC4D, which is AC4CH and Al-Si-Cu-Mg alloy, and AC7A, which is hydronalium (Al-Mg alloy). . ADC5 and ADC6 are suitable for aluminum die casting.
Normally, the increase in film size is 40 to 45%, and the film position from the machined surface can be predicted, but because AC4C and AC4CH have a large amount of silicon (Si), the color tone changes from light gray to black as the film thickens. It darkens to a grayish color, and the surface roughness tends to increase due to the precipitation of silicon needle crystals on the surface. For AC7A, as the film becomes thicker, the base color changes from brown to dark brown.
