About This Product

In the fields of agriculture and civil engineering, the thermal properties of soil can be an important factor. Furthermore, in the power field, soil specific thermal resistance and base temperature are factors that determine the allowable current of underground power cables, and our soil specific thermal resistance probes have a long track record for these applications. There are two methods for measuring the specific thermal resistance of soil: the single probe method and the twin probe method. ◼︎Single probe method Method of measuring by burying a sensor in the surface soil at the current location

・Can be measured at the current position. - Measurement time is longer than the twin probe method. ◼︎Twin probe method A method of comparing soil collected at the current location with samples whose thermal resistance is known.
