About This Product

As a character code standard for China (People's Republic of China), the existing GB18030-2005 extended standard (including partial amendments and additions) has been newly established as the People's Republic of China national standard GB18030-2022 "Information technology Kanji compilation and character code collection for information exchange". Announced on July 28, 2022 and implemented from August 1, 2023.

Based on a decision by the Chinese government, starting August 1, 2023, all character display and output devices in the People's Republic of China will be required to use Chinese fonts that comply with this standard.
With the enforcement of GB18030-2022, compliance with the national standard that defines standard glyph shapes for bitmap fonts is also required.

Chinese fonts (simplified) bitmap fonts and TrueType fonts are subject to GB18030-2022.
Dynacomware can provide fonts that have passed the GB18030-2022 conformance test.

Therefore, for bitmap fonts, the character shape for each size is determined by national standards. The set of characters and symbols included in bitmap fonts is based on GB18030.
