About This Product
Overview
■Electronic parts, food, medical care...A pure water/ultra pure water generation device that can be used in a variety of applications where contamination with impurities is not allowed.
"Pure water/ultra pure water equipment" uses ion exchange resin, reverse osmosis membrane (RO membrane), and external filtration membrane (UF membrane) to remove impurities (particulate bacteria, ionic components, organic matter) from water. This is a device that generates pure water and ultrapure water.
■Why is "pure water" necessary at manufacturing sites?
The water used at manufacturing sites varies depending on the purpose, from tap water to pure water to ultrapure water. The reason why we go to the trouble of using equipment to produce pure water and ultrapure water is because of impurities.
Tap water has a high electrical conductivity and contains many impurities due to the electricity flowing through it, so it cannot be used for cleaning electronic parts, medical products, chemical products, etc. where impurities can affect the quality. Therefore, we need pure water or ultrapure water that has been purified to remove impurities.
■What is the reverse osmosis membrane (RO membrane) required for pure water generation?
It is a type of filtration membrane that allows water to pass through but impurities other than water, such as ions and salts, do not pass through. It was developed in the United States in the 1950s. In the 1960s, with support from the U.S. government, private companies conducted research and development that made it possible to turn seawater into fresh water and put it into practical use. Later, it was adopted as a device that recycles all water, including water from the human body, and turns it into drinking water, and is used by NASA and the US military in more than 80 countries around the world.
In Japan, they are used in ministries, local governments, electric power, steel manufacturing, chemistry, electronics, hospitals, and many other fields. Reverse osmosis membranes can miniaturize this device and turn it into safe drinking water at home. Currently, more than 70% of water purifiers used in American households are reverse osmosis membranes. Local governments in Japan only subsidize the purchase of water purifiers for devices that use reverse osmosis membranes.
