About This Product

There are two types of engraved nameplates: one type that uses a mechanical engraving machine and the other type that uses a laser engraving machine.

■Machine-engraved nameplate

There is no need for plate making, and the process is quick, but not only does it take a long time to engrave as the engraving is done by moving a single drill, but there is also a lot of manual work such as coloring and wiping, which is not very efficient. It is used for very small quantities of products or when the value of engraving is recognized. We often use materials with low stickiness such as acrylic resin.

■Laser engraved nameplate

A laser-engraved nameplate is a nameplate created by irradiating a laser beam onto metal or resin and heating it to melt and alter the surface of the material. It has the advantage of being able to express precise characters and figures, and does not require film or plates.

■Features of laser engraved nameplates

・Detailed expression possible ・Less load on the base material ・Can process various materials ・No film or plate required Types of laser marking

■Decorative layer peel-off printing

This is a processing method that removes decorative layers (plating layers, ink coatings, etc.) on the surface of the base material by irradiating it with a laser.

■Oxidation printing

This processing method uses a laser to raise the temperature of the surface of the base material and forms an oxide film on the surface.

■Color printing

This is a processing method that colors the base material by transmitting heat using a laser.

■Shaving printing

This is a processing method that prints characters and patterns by cutting the surface of the base material with a laser.

■Drilling printing

This is a processing method that prints deeply, as if digging into it, by repeating the process of scraping the surface of the base material multiple times.

■Cutting/drilling

This is a processing method that cuts and drills holes in a base material by irradiating a laser until it penetrates the base material.

■Welding/welding

This is a processing method that uses a laser to increase the temperature of the base material, melting it and joining it.

■Soldering

This is a processing method in which an alloy with a melting point lower than that of the base material is melted using a laser and bonded.
