About This Product

■Product overview

SKIN-CAD is drug intradermal and pharmacokinetic analysis software developed based on the transdermal absorption model (skin permeation and pharmacokinetics model). SKIN-CAD can predict the amount of drug permeated through the skin and blood concentration based on parameters related to skin permeability and pharmacokinetics of the drug. It is also useful software for research on transdermal treatment systems, including the effects of skin metabolism and binding, absorption into the bloodstream, effects of iontophoresis, and PK-PD correlation. SKIN-CAD is software supervised by Professor Kakuji Tojo of the Department of Bioinformatics, Faculty of Information Engineering, Kyushu Institute of Technology.

・Preparation application time, application area ・Drug release characteristics from the formulation (diffusion coefficient within the formulation, content...) ・Skin structure (thickness of stratum corneum, distance to skin blood flow...) ・Drug diffusion coefficient/partition coefficient in the skin ・Physical dynamics parameters (1-, 2-, 3-compartment model) ・Parameters related to skin connection (Langmuir type/Freundlich type) ・Parameters related to skin metabolism (Michaelis-Menten equation/first order reaction equation) ・Parameters related to iontophoresis application (electrorepulsion: Nernst-Planck equation/electroosmosis) ・Pharmacodynamic parameters (direct reaction model/drug efficacy compartment model/indirect reaction model)
