About This Product

TiAlN is our standard titanium nitride aluminum coating, which is made by nitriding an alloy of titanium and aluminum. It has higher heat resistance and film hardness than titanium nitride coating (TiN), and is often used in drills, end mills, etc. where scratch wear occurs. It is also ideal for drilling, where machining heat tends to accumulate, and high-speed machining, where cutting temperatures are high.
