■Mixing machines for a wide range of uses and sizes

■What is a ribbon mixer (structure and mechanism)?

- A ribbon mixer consists of a U-shaped body, a case made of side plates, and a shaft with double ribbons. ・The loaded raw materials are dispersed and mixed by moving them vertically and horizontally using a double ribbon attached to a rotating shaft. ・As an image of the movement of the powder, when viewed from the front of the mixer, the mixture (powder/granules) moves up and down along the body wall like a figure 8 pattern. *Rough mixing is also important for precision. ■Precautions when using the equipment

Makino Sangyo's ribbon mixer is proposed on the premise that raw materials are added after startup. This is because it reduces the load at startup and allows mixing with less power. Starting up after all raw materials have been added requires more power than is needed for mixing, mechanical strength of the casing, etc., equipment costs, and running costs. In order to cope with the load of operation after inputting raw materials, it is necessary to select a large-capacity motor, and the ribbon shaft needs to be thick enough to cope with the load, which increases equipment costs and reduces the power consumption of the motor during operation. Costs will also increase. Depending on the production process or raw material properties of your product, if it is necessary to start up after supply, or start and stop during operation, we can design and manufacture ribbon mixers with the power and mechanical strength that meet your needs.

■How to decide mixer capacity

This is determined by the "effective capacity," which is the size that can actually accommodate the total amount of raw materials you want to mix. This is different from the capacity of the machine itself (water filling capacity). This is because mixing requires space for the flour to move freely.
