About This Product

■Crushing mechanism (EM-1A type)・Put the raw materials into the raw material hopper on the top of the main unit.

-Crushed and discharged from the bottom of the main unit
*Centrifugal force acts as the disc rotates, preventing adhesion and aggregation. *Particle size can be adjusted by changing the rotation speed using inverter control.

■What kind of grinder is Exceed Mill?The forces used for crushing are primarily impact, shear, and grinding. This Exceed mill is a crusher that mainly uses impact force. This type of crusher crushes the material by forcefully smashing it into pieces, making it energy efficient and economical.

Most impact-type crushers are equipped with a screen (a thin steel plate with holes punched out) to adjust the particle size, but the Exceed Mill uses many pins that rotate at high speed to crush the particles, so you can achieve the desired results without using a screen. A fine powder is obtained.

■What are the problems with the screen method?・Screen-type crushers have the advantage of being able to easily determine the maximum particle size, but the limit is around φ0.3mm. This limits the range of fine grinding.
- With the screen type, the raw material remains in the grinding chamber until it passes through the punched holes, and is subjected to repeated impact forces, making it susceptible to denaturation due to heat.
- Raw materials with high moisture or oil content will adhere to the screen and cause discharge failure.

■What are the benefits of not using screens?・Since it has a large number of pins and can rotate at ultra high speed, it is possible to finely grind down to about 20μm.
・As the raw material passes between the pins, it is instantly crushed and discharged, so the effect of heat is small.
- Even raw materials with a high moisture or oil content can be crushed because centrifugal force prevents them from sticking to the pins.
・Since the pins and discs can be treated with wear resistance, it is possible to crush raw materials that avoid contamination.

■What are pins and pin discs?A pin is inserted into the disc from the back. A plate attached to the back of the rotating disk holds the pin in place. Even if the pins are worn out, the disc can be used as is. Therefore, running costs for consumables can be kept low.
