About This Product

The property of TAC is that it is a trifunctional monomer that can be easily polymerized, especially in the presence of peroxide catalysts. Hydrolyzed by mineral acids to produce allyl alcohol and cyanuric acid. It also decomposes easily in strong alkaline media. TAC is stabilized with hydroquinone derivatives. Crosslinking of high melting point polymers requires increased stabilizer content.

■Main uses

Used as an aid in peroxide crosslinking of elastomers such as HNBR, EPM, EPDM, EVA, CR, TPE, and thermoplastics such as PE and PVC. It can also be used as an auxiliary agent for electron beam crosslinking of PE and TPE. TAC increases crosslink density, lowers compression set, and improves aging properties. Typical products include pipes and hoses, sealing, damping materials, cable coatings, electronic components, foam, and shoe soles. TAC optical grades are high-end specialty quality designed for demanding applications.
