About This Product

It extends the useful life of plastics and polyurethane by stabilizing their deterioration over time due to hydrolysis.

■Main uses

・Polyurethane (PU) ・Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) ・Polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) ・Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) ・Thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPEE) ・Polyamide (PA) When the three elements of acid, water, and heat are present in a polymer that has ester groups, such as the above polymer, the possibility of decomposition of the ester group increases. Therefore, by adding STABAXOL®, carbodiimide reacts with acid and moisture, removing substances that cause hydrolysis from the polymer.

■Low molecular weight carbodiimide STABAXOL® I-LF

Molecular weight 360g/mol, reacts quickly with acids

■High molecular weight carbodiimide STABAXOL® P, STABAXOL® P100

The molecular weight of STABAXOL® P is 3,000-4,000g/mol, and the molecular weight of STABAXOL® P100 is over 15,000g/mol, both of which have excellent long-term stability and good thermal stability.
