Objects at the bottom of the parabolic mirror are imaged as if they were in the hollow upper opening. The combination of two parabolic mirrors (volmatric) creates a mysterious optical phenomenon called a three-dimensional real image, and the hollow image appears to be the same as the object placed at the bottom of the mirror, but it is actually a finger. Even if you try to touch it, it just feels hollow.
This is because the light emitted from the object is first reflected on the upper parabolic mirror, becomes almost parallel, and enters the lower parabolic mirror, and the parallel rays that enter the lower parabolic mirror gather near the focal point and spread out. It looks like there is actually an object above the object. This product is used to display small products floating on display, as an eye catcher in stores, and as interior decoration in rooms.
Furthermore, this product is used in classrooms and science museums for optical physics experiments and as a teaching material for optical illusions.
