About This Product

Surface finish W-70A has the effect of improving the finished concrete surface. When concrete products are stored for a long period of time, efflorescence occurs on the concrete surface due to repeated wetting and drying. As a result, the surface becomes white and powdery, and the surface becomes contaminated with fine particles and microorganisms such as mold in the atmosphere. Surface finish W-70A consists of alkaline polysoaps that react with fine particles of calcium in concrete.

■Efflorescence phenomenon

Excess water present in the concrete or water molecules that have entered the concrete during storage dissolve the slaked lime component of the concrete component and transport calcium to the surface through capillary action during drying. During this process, calcium reacts with carbon dioxide in the atmosphere by repeating drying and wetting, and transforms into neutral calcium carbonate. This altered calcium becomes fine particles and causes a white efflorescence phenomenon on the concrete surface.

■Effect of W-70A

W-70A is in a polymer state, so after capturing calcium in concrete, it does not turn into fine particles, but instead wraps the calcium in its polymer structure. As a result, the bound calcium does not ionize like slaked lime, and the reaction can be suppressed even in the presence of atmospheric carbon dioxide.

■Features

Polysoap dries to form a thin film on the concrete surface. Dirt substances adhere to this film, but they are washed away in combination with soap components. In particular, dirt that has entered the fine pores of the concrete surface is difficult to remove, so it is important to add surface finishing W-70A ingredients to these pores in advance.

■Precautions for use

The undiluted solution is highly alkaline, so avoid direct contact with the skin. It tends to separate during long-term storage, but please mix well before use. There are no quality problems.

■How to use

Depending on the condition of the stain, the undiluted solution can be diluted several times (3 to 5 times) and used by spraying. It is most effective if you spray it on the surface immediately after placing the mortar. It is important to impregnate the concrete with carbon dioxide and calcium in the atmosphere before they meet.

■Preparation of spray liquid

W-70A can be diluted with water to any desired concentration, so we will spray the solution diluted with water depending on the condition of the stain.
