The taste recognition device TS-6000A has the same mechanism as the human tongue and can quantify the "taste" of various foods, medicines, etc. Our unique "aftertaste" measurement allows us to express "richness" and "sharpness" that cannot be measured with conventional analytical instruments. ■Sensor design that mimics the human tongue

A "lipid bilayer membrane" is formed on the surface of the living tongue, and it has a unique membrane potential. Its membrane potential changes due to chemical reactions with various taste substances or adsorption reactions. It is said that the human brain recognizes this amount of change as taste information and uses it to judge taste. Taste sensors imitate this biological taste receptor mechanism. The taste sensor is composed of an artificial "lipid membrane" (similar to the human tongue) that causes chemical and adsorption reactions with various taste substances, allowing it to sense "taste" in the same way as humans.

■Evaluate the fore-taste and aftertaste using a unique measurement method

Taste is evaluated based on two types of taste: ``early taste,'' which is the taste when you put the food in your mouth, and ``aftertaste,'' which is the taste that lasts even after you swallow the food.
