About This Product

Easy visual inspection. Measures the consistency of color and texture on the spot A handy 2D colorimeter that faithfully measures the colors that humans can see. Great for color matching when assembling painted parts and components, color diagnosis for beauty products, clothing, etc.

■Features of PPLB-500B

・Measurement is possible in two dimensions (plane). Measure the Lab value for each pixel. ・You can quickly compare the ⊿E, ⊿L, ⊿a, and ⊿b values ​​in any area between the reference product and the inspection product. It is also possible to load and compare saved data. - You can check the "color distribution matching degree". *Plot the color information for each pixel on an xy chromaticity diagram and check the degree of matching by checking the overlap of the integrated data. ・Dome lighting eliminates the need for a darkroom ・Battery powered and cordless ・Measurement can be performed with the sensitivity of the human eye. ・Two-dimensional measurement (surface measurement), chromaticity data can be obtained for each pixel

■What is color distribution matching?

This is a unique judgment method. Color information for each pixel in the measurement area is plotted on an xy chromaticity diagram and expressed as integrated data. The data of the reference product and the measurement target are compared, and the percentage of the total accumulated data that overlaps is called the "color distribution matching degree."

■Difference between "color distribution matching" and Lab value and ⊿E

⊿E uses the Lab calculated from the average value, while color distribution matching directly compares the integrated data (not averaged) for a wide range of colors.

■Example of implementation at vehicle inspection site

・Step① Align the position while looking at the touch panel and take the photo. Acquire data with easy operations. ・Step ② Check the data on the spot. You can compare the reference image and inspection image.
