■Optical fiber laser tachometer LT-880
The fiber optic laser tachometer LT-880 is a non-contact measuring instrument that measures rotational speed by detecting the presence or absence of a reflective surface for a light beam. Usually, a black and white encoder is attached to the surface of the rotating part. A TTL signal is asserted whenever a reflective surface is sensed. The output signal can be read directly from the display or combined with a spectrum analyzer to sense linear movement, RPM, and angular vibration.
A 5 meter fiber optic cable allows the optical sensor to be installed in hazardous environments or hard to access spaces where traditional units cannot be used. LT-880 further increases the flexibility of multi-function readout. Comes with 5m fiber optic cable with reflective optical head and 9V DC power supply with international mains power supply. Encoders can be easily created using a laser printer and a drawing or CAD program. No reflective tape required.
