About This Product

■LensTest OTS 200 optical inspection station software

The optical test station OTS 200 Lens Test with software module can measure the air gap of the lens surface, lens center thickness and centering error in the lens assembly. Software Lens Test helps evaluate assembled optical systems and error analysis. LensTest is standalone software and can be used in conjunction with OTS 200 hardware. Additional mechanical hardware (such as adapters) may be required.

■Function

・Non-contact measurement of surface positions in complex optical systems (assembled) ・Lens gap measurement (assembly) in complex optical systems ・Measurement of center thickness of lens in compound optical system (assembly) ・Measurement of lens centering (centering error) in complex optical systems (assemblies)

■LensTest provides the following measurement functions

・Air gap on lens surface ・Lens center thickness ・Center error of the lens surface of the assembled optical system For all of these measurement tasks, an essential problem presents itself. Each lens surface and center of curvature of each lens is displayed as an image only. The position of the image is influenced by all lens surfaces located in front of the surface under test. The software package LensTest solves this problem. The lens optical system calculates the expected position of each lens surface from the optical design data of the assembled optical system. The design data must be known and loaded from LensTest. Automatic scanning captures all reflections and assigns the lens surface or center of curvature to the corresponding reflection. This allows a comparison of the expected and actual positions of reflections and the quality of the assembled optics. For the calculation of the position of the center of curvature, the previous surface eccentricity is taken into account. The lens does not need to be rotated to calculate the centering error. LensTest takes measurements into account and recalculates design data accordingly. LensTest allows quick, easy and inexpensive testing of assembled optical components in combination with OTS-hardware.
