■Application

The surface free energy and wetting behavior of substrates and layers used in semiconductor technology can be determined by contact angle measurements. Measuring contact angles allows new process steps to be quickly optimized and known processes to be better standardized. Small changes in the wafer surface properties are easily detected as large changes in the contact angle. Therefore, contact angle measurement has become a standard process control method in many semiconductor manufacturing facilities.

■Video-type automatic contact angle measuring device

This is a contact angle measurement device that fully automatically measures the wetting behavior of solids (wafers for flat panel displays, glass substrates, etc.) under clean room conditions. It can also be used for continuous testing and systematic analysis.
