■Summary

The MECO EA Type-1 full-split seal model is ideal for sealing wet slurries. A fully split configuration uses an elastomeric drive to rotate two hardened stainless steel seal faces against two fixed bearing-grade polymer fixed seal faces and rotate their contacting seal faces against the shaft. and set it vertically. The polymer fixed sealing surface is built into two fully segmented stainless steel plates. One dividing plate is mounted on the wall of the container, and the other is manually placed at a certain distance from the mounted plate. An elastomer is used between the plates to form a sealed cavity, allowing gravity-fed water to flush and cool the chamber without back pressure.

■Applications for which EA type 1 is most suitable

If you are sealing an abrasive slurry in a pulper, agitator, ribbon mixer, paddle mixer, storage container, flocculator, mixing conveyor, or similar rotating equipment and there is limited space around the seal, This MECO EA type 1 seal is the best choice. If there is space around the seal, please consider our EP type 1 model (P.13). This EA Type 1 model is used in industrial processes involving relatively low viscosity slurries and solutions, such as paper and pulp, construction materials, wastewater and sewage treatment, biomass and ethanol production. In particular, it is often used in horizontal mixers that handle plasterboard and mortar. It also has excellent durability against high impact loads, severe shaft vibration, and abrasive particles found in pulpers that recycle used paper and cardboard. All parts of the seal can be completely separated for assembly and maintenance without the need for power or bearing disassembly.

■Working principle of EA type 1 seal

The EA type 1 seal has two housings, one on the inside and one on the outside. Inside the housing is a stator (fixed ring) made of a lubricating polymer resin, which acts as a sliding surface on the stationary side. Masu. There is a rotating stainless steel rotor assembly between these two pairs of stators, and the drive elastomer is sandwiched between the two rotors.
