About This Product

Siloprene 1406 is a condensation type silicone rubber for mold making with good fluidity.

■Features

・No curing inhibition ・Excellent overall balance of mold durability, ease of use, and strength

■How to use

・Dispense the required amount of Siloprene 1406 (base ingredient) into a separate container. ・Add 1% of the catalyst (R-14) by weight to the separated base material. In addition, the higher the amount of catalyst, the faster the curing will be; the lower the amount, the slower the curing will be. - Stir well with a stirring rod and pour into the frame containing the prototype. When pouring, pour it little by little in a string, as if you pour it all at once, air will get mixed in and bubbles will form.

■How to make split molds by pouring

・Make a box or frame larger than the original. ・Set the prototype and bury half of it in clay ・Apply a barrier coat to the clay ・Take the required amount of siloprene 1406 in a mixing container, add the specified amount of catalyst R-14, and stir well. ・Pour the stirred Siloprene 1406 into the frame. - Once the Siloprene 1406 has hardened, remove the mold from the frame. Turn the mold upside down and remove the clay. ・Set the silicone mold with the clay removed in the frame and apply a barrier coat to the surface of the silicone mold. ・Crack the silicone mold and remove the original from the mold. ・Create an inlet and an air vent in the silicone mold using a utility knife. Put together the silicone molds from which the originals have been removed, tie them together with duct tape, etc., and pour Procast or Procrystal through the injection port. ・Once Procast or Procrystal has hardened, remove it from the silicone mold.
