About This Product
■Continuous oil vapor measurement for process safety
Oil contamination affects compressed air handling systems in a variety of ways, posing a danger to workers, the environment, and production equipment. Monitoring systems such as the METPOINT OCV compact continuously and precisely control compressed air according to applicable standards for residual oil vapor concentration. Thus, maintaining the quality of compressed air.
■Oil vapor measurement function
In the METPOINT OCV system, the PID sensor works according to the principle of photoionization using a UV lamp. The determined values are temperature and pressure corrected to increase accuracy and compensate for minimal variations. This meets the requirements of ISO 8573. A reference gas produced by an integrated catalytic converter is used as continuous self-control of the measuring system. With regular changes between measurement air and reference air, the functionality of the PID measurement cell is continuously controlled and regulated.
Advantages of the METPOINT® OCV System
■Safety
・Reproducible accuracy of measurements by using reference gas production
・Automatic monitoring of reference gas and sensor electronics
・Issuance and forwarding of alarm signal messages
■Reliability
・Pressure range from 0.3 to 1.6 MPa
・Online monitoring of oil vapor concentration
- Control center with data transfer and common communication methods for display as standard functions
■Easy to use
・Clear visualization of all measurements
・Flexible installation
・Rugged industrial housing
■Permanent and accurate monitoring of oil vapor
METPOINT OCV compact was developed for the measurement of hydrocarbon vapors and gases in compressed air system applications. The detection level can detect residual oil content at the level of 0.001mg/m³, and it can be run continuously during operation. Short measurement intervals allow for a quick and reliable indication of even small deviations. This online monitoring process provides certainty about compressed air quality as a key element of process safety at all times and at all quality-critical system points. Measurement data can be used to document compressed air quality and identify sources of contamination.
