■Summary

A protocol converter for machine tools that supports CNC equipment and realizes smart factories. By using this product, machine tool manufacturers and users can collect operational data from machines on factory lines in Japan and overseas, and transfer it to higher-level systems using wired or wireless LAN. Machine tool manufacturers can effectively utilize machine operation information to reduce maintenance costs for their products, and machine tool users can effectively use machine operation information to improve the operating efficiency of their own production lines. ■Connection to multiple networks within the factory

Supports multiple LAN interfaces. By using two independent wired LAN ports, it can support factory networks divided into information systems and control systems. In addition, using the wireless LAN communication function (child unit) that supports IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n, you can connect to the network without worrying about the machine installation location or wired cable wiring.

■Acquisition of machine operation information

By directly connecting to CNC equipment such as those manufactured by Fanuc, it is possible to monitor the operation of machine tool NC programs and PMC data. Wired LAN and RS-232C interfaces can be used for connection. Furthermore, by using digital input interfaces and Patlite's AirGRID®, you can collect information on legacy machines that can only obtain operating information via the signal tower.

■Transfer of information to the upper system using MTConnect communication

Equipped with MTConnect communication function, an open protocol used by major machine tool manufacturers mainly in the United States. By using the MTConnect compatible monitoring systems provided by various companies, machine operating information can be efficiently transferred to the host system.

■Use within the factory

This product supports the operating temperatures required in general factories, drip and dust proof, vibration resistance, DC power input/surge handling, DIN rail mounting, etc.

■Equipped with wired/wireless LAN bridge function

The wired LAN interface of CNC equipment can be converted to wireless LAN. You can directly access CNC equipment and change programs using wireless LAN.
