Alcuin 300 is a 7000 series (Al-Cu-Zn-Mg) aluminum alloy that pursues lightness, machinability, and workability while maintaining extremely high strength. It was developed using production technology for aircraft materials, and is now widely used as a material for high-strength aluminum alloy molds and jigs. It is also a material that has improved stress corrosion cracking, which is a weak point of 7000 series alloys.
We have a large stock of Alquin 300 plates (6t to 350t) and round bars (φ8.4 to φ300). We will cut, process and provide it to you according to your needs.
■Summary
- Additives are A7000 series heat-treatable high-strength alloys containing a large amount of Cu (copper) - Zn (zinc) - Mg (magnesium).
- Reduces Cu (copper) -Si (silicon) content from A7075, which is ultra-super duralumin, and improves cracking and sensitivity.
・Good: Machinability, machining distortion resistance, stress corrosion cracking resistance, corrosion resistance (compared with A7075)
・Strongest among aluminum alloys
・Significant weight reduction possible, 1/3 of steel material: lighter weight increases work efficiency and also improves safety
・Excellent workability, processing speed 3 to 50 times that of steel materials: Processing time can be significantly shortened, making it possible to reduce product prices.
・Good thermal conductivity, 3 times more thermal conductive than steel: Increases the molding cycle of plastics, etc., and radiates heat from working parts such as machine moving parts, making it ideal for maintaining precision.
■Applications
Large movable tools, clamp materials, high-speed rotating tools, jig materials, mechanical parts, structural materials, base plates, tables, die set holders for presses, various assembly inspection jig materials, main mold base materials for plastic and rubber molds.
■Available processing
・Supported types of 1st to 1.5th processing: Saw cutting, band saw, irregular cutting, precision cutting (M cut+), milling (2F, 4F, 6F), polishing, disk processing, ring processing
- Types of secondary processing available: Machining, water jet processing and laser processing are also available.
