About This Product
■Highlight the texture of the wood
VALTTI OPAQUE attractively highlights the wood fibers and maintains the natural appearance of the wood structure even after painting. Whether it's wood boards or wood, the finish retains the texture of wood.
■Protection from UV rays and moisture
VALTTI OPAQUE was developed as an exterior paint for wood to withstand harsh weather conditions. The painted surface is flexible and adapts to the substrate and season. VALTTI OPAQUE protects wood from moisture and UV damage.
■Protects paint film from mold
VALTTI OPAQUE forms a water-resistant coating that allows moisture to escape from the underlying wood. Painted surfaces provide added protection against mold growth on the paint film.
■Description
Special semi-matte, low odor alkyd-reinforced acrylate paint for exterior wood applications.
■Usage example
Exterior cladding, shutters, window frames, doors, log cabins, fences, barns, garden furniture and more. It can also be painted on surfaces previously painted with Valtti Opaque or wood stain. Suitable for smooth surfaces, lumber, and injection treatments. Not suitable for floor painting.
■Product features
A finishing paint with excellent weather resistance, flexibility, and durability that requires little maintenance. ValttiOpaque is a moisture-controlling product that is resistant to cracking, peeling, and bubbling.
■Color range
Please choose from the opaque wood finisher color card "PUUTALOT".
■Execution area
・Log, planer finishing material: 8–10m2/l. (for one coat)
・Sawn timber: 4–8m2/l. (for one coat)
・Wet coating film: 100-250μm in one coat
・Dry coating film: 40-100μm in one coat
・Actual workable area will vary depending on many factors such as surface condition, porosity, moisture content, etc.
■Execution equipment
・Brush: A polyester or nylon paint brush is suitable. Please use without dilution.
・Airless spray: Please use 0.018-0.023 spray tip. Dilute with water if necessary (up to 10%)
■Drying time
At a temperature of 23°C and relative humidity of 50%, it typically dries to the touch in one hour and can be overcoated after two hours. Drying time will be longer due to low temperatures and high humidity.
