About This Product

■Description

Water-based, natural oil-based wood stain with a tonal pearlescent finish. It is efficiently absorbed into the wood and protects it.

■Usage example

Also suitable for wood exteriors, logs, fences, injection treated wood and heat treated wood surfaces.

■Product features

Ideal for exterior log surfaces, smooth-sided wood and lumber, injection-treated wood, heat-treated wood, etc. Please use according to the instructions.

■Color range

Choose from Arctic color cards. Please use color-matched products. The final color is the color after drying.

■Execution area

・Sawn timber: 4-8m2/l (in case of one coat) ・Log, planer finishing material: 8-12m2/l (for one coat) ・Actual workable area will vary depending on many factors such as surface condition, porosity, moisture content, etc.

■Drying time

At a temperature of 23°C and relative humidity of 50%, it typically dries to the touch in 2 to 3 hours and can be overcoated after 24 hours. Avoid mechanical stress during the first day after painting, as the final hardness of the paint has not been reached.

■Storage

Do not freeze. Carefully close the can for next use. Opened cans (opened during color matching) may deteriorate the quality of the paint, so please use them during the same painting season.

■Painting conditions

The surface to be painted must be dry. The moisture content of wood should be less than 20%. During painting and drying, the surface temperature should be at least 5 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity should be less than 80%. The best conditions for painting are dry, cloudy days with mild weather and temperatures between 10 and 20 degrees Celsius.

■Preparation

- Unpainted wood: Remove dirt, dust, oil, wax, and loose material from the surface with a steel or scrub brush. Be sure to clean the surface. Clean moldy surfaces with a suitable mold remover or cleaner as directed. Prime with Tikkurila primer as soon as possible. Prevent primer from splashing onto plants. - Wood stained wood: Remove dirt, dust, and loose material from the surface with a steel brush or spatula. Please clean the surface. If necessary, clean with a suitable mold remover or cleaner. If a shiny coating remains on the wood surface, remove it or at least sand it.
