About This Product
■Excellent protection from UV rays and moisture
VALTTI PLUS COLOR is the perfect product for log house painting, as it provides weather resistance with excellent protection from UV rays and moisture, while also allowing water vapor to diffuse away from the surface. As a result of special accelerated weathering tests in harsh weather conditions, VALTTI PLUS COLOR showed high durability without peeling.
■Wide color range
For exterior durability, always use a toned (pigmented) wood stain. Tikkurila offers a variety of colors for translucent wood stains.
■High penetration into wood
It is easily absorbed by wood, enhancing the natural beautiful texture of wood and improving its weather resistance.
■Usage example
Exterior walls and fences. Unpainted wooden surfaces or painted surfaces with wood stain.
■Product features
Also suitable for exterior logs, sawn timber, planed wood surfaces, injection treated wood and heat treated wood surfaces. Please use according to the instructions.
■Color range
Please choose from VALTTI color cards. Please use color-matched products. The final color is the color after drying.
■Execution area
・Lumber: 4-8m2/l.
・Log, planer finish material: 8-12m2/l. Actual workable area will vary depending on many factors such as surface condition, porosity, moisture content, etc.
■Dilution
Please use without dilution
■Drying time
It usually dries to the touch after 4 to 5 hours, and can be overcoated after 24 hours. Drying time may vary depending on temperature and humidity. Do not apply mechanical stress to the painted surface for several days after painting, as it has not yet reached its final hardness.
■Storage
Do not place in freezing or sub-zero environments. Unsealed cans cannot be stored for long periods of time. Opened cans (opened during color matching) may deteriorate the quality of the paint, so please use them during the same painting season.
■Painting conditions
The surface to be painted must be dry. The moisture content of wood should be less than 20%. During painting and drying, the temperature of the painted surface should be at least 5 degrees Celsius or higher, and the relative humidity should be less than 80%. The climate is mild, with dry, cloudy days between 10°C and 20°C being ideal.
