About This Product

Infrared windows are used to protect the inside of measuring instruments with built-in cameras and sensors, and for pressure isolation and sealing of equipment and containers. Depending on the properties of the window material, you can benefit from improved environmental resistance.

■Features

・Flat spectral transmission characteristics with no deep absorption bands in the 8-14μm band ・This is a material whose transmittance decreases significantly as the temperature rises. Cooling is recommended when using in high temperature environments.

■About surface finish

・Double-sided polished product (no coating): Both sides are optically polished. Transmittance is around 46% (depending on thickness). ・AR (anti-reflection) coating: A coating that suppresses transmission loss due to reflection. It is not resistant to heat, water, moisture, friction, and acidic/alkaline chemicals, so care must be taken when handling it. ・DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating: A hard coating with excellent water resistance and wear resistance. Recommended for use in harsh environments such as outdoors. By applying a DLC coating on one side and an AR coating on the other side, it is possible to achieve environmental resistance and high transmittance at the same time.
