■12-bit ADC: Displays waveform details clearly
The SDS3000X HD series is equipped with a 12-bit (quantization level 4096) high-resolution ADC that can increase resolution up to 16-bit in high-resolution mode (ERES). The high-resolution ADC and vertical and horizontal zoom capabilities allow you to see waveform details more completely and clearly.
■ENOB–Effective number of bits of ADC
Due to noise and distortion, the actual signal-to-noise ratio at which a high-speed AD converter acquires data will fall short of the desired performance that the nominal bit depth should achieve. Since the ADC is only part of the oscilloscope system and cannot be used alone, the ENOB (enabled bit) of the entire oscilloscope system is more meaningful.
The ENOB of the SDS3000X HD series is up to 8.3 to 8.6 bits, with less time error and frequency spurious, effectively ensuring measurement accuracy.
■Various trigger types
The SDS3000X HD series features a variety of trigger types including edge, interval, video, and serial bus. When using a zone trigger, the triggered waveform is screened to see whether it passes through the zone set by the user or not, and only the waveforms that match are displayed, making it easier for the user to observe the waveform they are looking for.
Serial Bus Trigger provides testing solutions for serial buses for a variety of applications, including I2C, SPI, CAN, CAN FD, lexRay, I2S, MIL-STD-1553B, and SENT.
